IMPACT Wrestling's IMPACT Plus special will be Emergence, which goes down on Saturday, 21 August.

This was confirmed during last night's IMPACT on AXS TV broadcast, with a lower-third graphic revealing the date for the event during an Elite promo. Presumably, Emergence will be taped during IMPACT's upcoming taping schedule from 15-17 August.

Intriguingly, this goes down the same day as WWE's SummerSlam pay-per-view. This had previously been the case in April, when the 10 April Hardcore Justice event was scheduled for the same day as WrestleMania 37's first night. Understanding they couldn't compete with 'Mania, IMPACT moved the start time of the event to a few hours before. Whether this is the case come 21 August remains to be seen.

Officially, no matches have yet been confirmed, although a Battle Royal on 12 August will decide Kenny Omega's World Championship challenger for the special. Click here to find out who wins that.

IMPACT debuted the Emergence event last year as a special IMPACT episode. Over two weeks, this featured Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace's Iron Man match, Rohit Raju becoming X Division Champion, and a World Tag Team Championships banger between the North and defending champions, the Motor City Machine Guns.
