Impact Wrestling Officially Sign Deonna Purrazzo
'The Virtuosa' will stay with Impact Wrestling beyond Bound For Glory.
As was revealed on this week's Impact Press Pass, Deonna Purrazzo has officially agreed to a contract with Impact Wrestling.
After being released from her WWE contract in April, the former Ring Of Honor star wasted no time in making her intentions clear, as she arrived in Impact Wrestling the following month. 'The Virtuosa' would then go on to capture the Knockouts Championship in just her second match with the company, dethroning Jordynne Grace at the Slammiversary pay-per-view in July.
Despite the lasting impact she's made within the Knockouts division, Purrazzo had been wrestling without officially signing a contract. Fightful Select reported she had been offered a deal in the middle of September, lasting for two years, and increasing in value as time passes. Now, 'The Virtuosa' has signed across the dotted line.
Undoubtedly, this is a fantastic move on the part of Impact management. They snapped up a good chunk of the mass WWE releases, and have used the majority of them exceptionally. The fact that two of them - Purrazzo and Eric Young - are already positioned as two of the company's biggest stars speaks volumes.
At the time of writing, Deonna is lining up to defend her Knockouts Championship against Kylie Rae at tonight's Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
