Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis are getting married!

In kayfabe.

WWE ran a proposal angle on last night's NXT, with Hartwell getting down on one knee, presenting a ring to the mute Lumis after their mixed tag victory over Robert Stone and Jessi Kamea. Lumis nodded, Indi slipped the ring onto his finger, and the couple embraced, celebrating in the squared circle.

This angle comes just one week after Hartwell and Lumis' first date, which was heavily interrupted by Indi's stablemates in The Way, Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano. Hartwell's self-appointed "parents" were barely on the show last night, showing their disapproval towards Indi and Dexter's relationship in a brief backstage t-shirt.

Gargano defeated Lumis in a Love Her or Lose Her two weeks ago. This was supposed to kill the Hartwell/Lumis relationship, though WWE chose to subvert the regressive stipulation instead, with Indi rushing to the ring to make out with Dexter after the bell.

Televised wrestling weddings are always good for a ratings boost, with Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian tying the knot in AEW Dynamite outdoing a quarter-hour featuring returning legend Edge last year. WWE will surely be looking to capitalise on such a boost with In-Dex.
