Insane New Baron Corbin WWE Gimmick Revealed?

Does this new trademark filing forecast Baron Corbin's wacky WWE future?

In what may forecast a gimmick for Baron Corbin, now that he has lost the right to call himself SmackDown's "King", WWE has filed a trademark application for "Happy Corbin".

WWE applied for the trademark on 25 June, seven days after Corbin lost his Battle for the Crown to rival Shinsuke Nakamura on SD. Nakamura has since taken his literal crown and apparently his regal gimmick as well, having celebrated on last week's show. Baron, meanwhile, looked utterly miserable in the locker-room.

Corbin had been working the King gimmick since winning the 2019 King of the Ring tournament in September 2019. Now, he isn't even listed as "King Corbin" on WWE.com's roster page anymore.

"Happy Corbin" wasn't the only trademark application WWE filed for last week, though, with the company also going after "Nikki ASH". This comes after Nikki Cross appeared to rename herself "Nikki Almost A Superhero" on this week's episode of Raw.

WWE is pursuing the trademarks for the following purposes (h/t Fightful):-
