Insane Randy Orton And The Fiend Rematch For WWE Royal Rumble 2021?

Because being set on fire was clearly not enough.

With ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt last seen being set alight by Randy Orton at WWE’s TLC PPV, now comes some speculation on what lies ahead for the Eater of Worlds.

As per Ringside News, Wyatt is reportedly set to make his WWE return ahead of next month’s Royal Rumble PPV. There, The Fiend and Randy Orton will face off in “another crazy gimmick match” following their Firefly Inferno bout earlier this month.

Ringside doesn’t indicate exactly what the stipulation for this Rumble contest will be, but things always tend to get amped up to 11 whenever Orton and Wyatt clash – such as the pair’s House of Horrors match at 2017’s Payback event.

This week’s Raw went off the air with the cliffhanger ending of whether or not the Viper was going to set Alexa Bliss on fire, with Little Miss Bliss wanting to experience what The Fiend went through at TLC.

In the absence of Bray Wyatt – y’know, because he’s selling BEING SET ON FIRE! – it’s been left to Bliss to push forward the Orton/Wyatt rivalry, and Alexa has even teased a character change or gimmick tweak for Bray upon his return to WWE TV.

Having Orton vs. Wyatt at the Royal Rumble certainly makes sense, although we’ve got plenty of time to see things further play out between the pair, particularly as this year’s Royal Rumble PPV takes place on January 31.

With a month to go until WWE’s annual January spectacular, we’ve so far seen Daniel Bryan and Bobby Lashley enter themselves into the men’s Rumble match, while Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are confirmed for the women’s Rumble.
