INSANE Stipulation Announced For Jon Moxley Vs. Kenny Omega At AEW Revolution 2021
It'll be blood and guts when Kenny Omega & Jon Moxley bring death to AEW Revolution 2021...
It was announced during last night's AEW Dynamite that Kenny Omega will defend the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley at Revolution 2021... in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch.
Omega confirmed the bloody stipulation at the end of the show. Moxley, Rey Fenix, and Lance Archer had just defeated Eddie Kingston, The Butcher, and The Blade in the main event, when Omega and the Good Brothers swarmed. With Mox in Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows' clutches, Kenny said that if Jon wants to talk about breaking necks and putting bodies in the ground, they'll have a deathmatch at the 7 March pay-per-view.
Moxley headbutted Omega after the announcement, though 'The Best Bout Machine' ended up putting him to sleep with a couple of V-Triggers. "It's only going to get worse!", was his final threat.
Omega and Moxley wrestled a deathmatch-adjacent Lights Out match at Full Gear 2019, featuring barbed wire, broken glass, and other forms of blood-letting plunder. That the story of that match was Omega paying for his extreme hubris in stepping into Mox's "hardcore" world makes this stipulation interesting - and opens up the possibility of a pre-PPV swerve.
