Several notable pro wrestling names have been backstage at recent AEW shows, including ex-WWE mainstays and a former WCW World Champion.

Fightful Select reports that one of WCW's most controversial title-holders, David Arquette, was at this Wednesday's Dynamite in Nashville, Tennessee. The actor-turned-grappler infamously held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for 12 days in 2000. If this were any other promotion, it'd be fair to call him the worst title-holder of all time, but y'know. Vince Russo exists.

Arquette sparked an unlikely pro wrestling return in 2018, as documented in the excellent You Cannot Kill David Arquette film in 2020. You should probably watch it.

Fightful notes, too, that CJ 'Lana' Perry was at the same event visiting husband Miro. The couple lives in the Nashville area. Perry has not been involved in wrestling since her June 2021 WWE release, though she was originally due to face fellow former Stamford star Nia Jax via the former Authors of Pain's failed Wrestling Entertainment Series project last year.

Also backstage at this show was the former Summer Rae, Danielle Moinet, who hasn't wrestled full-time since 2016, but made a one-off appearance for WWE in the 2022 women's Royal Rumble.
