Is Enzo Amore Helping Ratings For 205 Live?

The mouthy Cruiserweight Champ will be doing a lot more talking...

Dave Meltzer is reporting on F4WOnline.com that WWE are changing the format of 205 Live in an attempt to boost ratings.

According to Meltzer, that's why Enzo Amore was shifted to the Cruiserweight show in the first place. The hopes backstage are that Enzo's rambling promo style will draw more eyes to the program and increase viewership weekly.

Amore won his first singles championship in WWE by beating Neville to become Cruiserweight Champ at No Mercy this past Sunday night. Don't expect Enzo to be dropping that belt any time soon either, because the creative team believe this is the best use of his talents going forward.

In further interesting news, Meltzer claimed that Amore hasn't affected 205 Live's ratings positively since his very first appearance on the show. After gate-crashing the brand on August 22, Enzo has subsequently turned heel for the first time during his main roster run by assaulting Neville with a crutch.

Thus far, his continued presence on the show isn't having the desired impact. Ratings are generally the same for 205 Live as they were before Amore appeared, but WWE hope that will change.
