Former Lucha Underground star Ivelisse recent underwent a WWE tryout.

This is according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, though there's no word on how it actually went.

As pointed out in the writeup, Ivelisse was with WWE from 2011 to 2012, having appeared on the Steve Austin season of Tough Enough. She had competed in the old Florida Championship Wrestling developmental territory but left the company as she wasn't willing to compromise her hard-hitting wrestling style to fit WWE's blueprint. As Meltzer's writeup notes, this isn't necessarily something that the promotion would care about in 2019.

Best known for her work in Lucha Underground, Ivelisse has spent the past few years floating around the independent circuit, having struggled to land a full-time role with a major promotion. She recently featured in the Women's Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out, in which she was one of three wrestlers to be eliminated by Awesome Kong.

Now 32 years old, Ivelisse is one of the biggest female free agents left on the market. It'd be a surprise if she was still without a home a couple of months from now.
