WWE's first ever all-women pay-per-view, Evolution, takes place on 28 October, and although the lineup remains incomplete, PW Insider have revealed that two former Women's Champions in Molly Holly and Ivory are set to appear at the event.

The duo's specific roles are yet to be confirmed, though both could conceivably compete in the event's filler battle royal. Fellow returnee Torrie Wilson has already been announced for that bout.

Holly returned to WWE as part of the first women's Royal Rumble this January, eliminating Sarah Logan in an impressive performance. She then re-emerged in April, inducting Ivory (who last wrestled for WWE in 2003) into the Hall Of Fame, and even reprised her Mighty Molly gimmick for CHIKARA's King Of Trios tournament in August.

Though it looks like the company have dialled back on their original promise of "50 women past, present, and future" at Evolution, Holly, Ivory, and Wilson join Trish Stratus and Lita in returning for the event. Further additions are likely just around the corner, with the battle royal giving WWE a low-risk vehicle for nostalgic comebacks.

That the bout's winner is guaranteed a title shot means these old faces have little chance of winning, but it'll be good to see them regardless.
