Jack Gallagher made a dramatic return to 205 Live last night, albeit looking a less pale than usual, thanks to a (almost literal) raft of new tattoos across his chest and arm.

Shortly after Cruiserweight champion Lio Rush had retained his title against Tony Nese, courtesy of a Mike Kanellis-caused disqualification, the Man of the Hour was blindsided by the returning Gallagher, making his first appearance since a 20 December NXT taping. As the show concluded, the not-so gentlemanly Gentleman stood tall, showing off his intimidating new ink to the world.

The huge bit of skinwork across his chest is a frigate of some description, surrounded by swallows. Its meaning is probably deeply personal, so we shouldn't really speculate, but for now, let's just say he is getting into WrestleMania 36's piratey theme.

Gallagher's left arm was also partially covered by fresh sketches, including an oni (a sort of Japanese demon), a heart, and an indeterminate woman's face.

Any primary school art teacher will tell you not to leave any part of the page blank, so we can probably expect Gallagher to fill the rest of the gaps in at a later date.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
