WWE announced Wednesday that Jack Swagger and Baron Corbin will face off on the No Mercy kickoff show. Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan broke the news on his Twitter account.

Swagger and Corbin have been at each other's throats since "The All-American American" arrived on the blue brand on September 13. After suffering a loss on Raw the previous evening and acknowledging that his contract was coming to a close, Swagger hit the ring on Smackdown 24 hours later, interrupting a fight between Corbin and Apollo Crews. Corbin stared Swagger down, but ultimately left the ring and headed to the back.

This past Tuesday, Swagger made his Smackdown in-ring debut against Corbin, and the match ended in controversial fashion. When Swagger had Corbin trapped in the Ankle Lock, "The Lone Wolf" managed to drag himself near to the ropes. Swagger pulled him back to the center of the ring and Corbin tried once again to reach the ropes, but the referee mistook his reaching for tapping out and called for the bell. Corbin, shocked and furious, started demolishing the the announcers' table after the bell.
