Jade Cargill's Mystery AEW Dynamite Opponent Revealed?

A breadcrumb trail may lead to THIS wrestler facing Jade Cargill on AEW Dynamite...

Jade Cargill Taya

Jade Cargill is to face a mystery Canadian wrestler on this week's Winnipeg, Manitoba episode of AEW Dynamite - and Taya Valkyrie is among the leading candidates.

Valkyrie is currently a free agent, enabling her to work wherever she pleases. Interestingly, she was due to compete on a tour of Australia starting last Saturday, but ended up pulling out, citing scheduling issues (per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer's Daily Update column).

Meltzer reported in last week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Valkyrie was likely AEW or WWE bound after wrapping recent commitments with IMPACT Wrestling. Wrestling legend Konnan recently quipped on his podcast that the Canadian has something big lined up. These breadcrumbs, coupled with Taya pulling out of the Australian tour, have speculation swirling.

The Bunny is currently the only Canadian woman contracted to AEW, though she has been out injured lately. This means that Cargill's TBS Championship opponent will likely come from outside the promotion. Beyond Taya, the likes of LuFisto and Nicole Matthews have been speculated.

Taya has kept a busy schedule in 2023, working for such promotions as IMPACT, MLW, and AAA.
