Jake "The Snake" Roberts Put On A Ventilator
The Hall of Famer has been placed on a ventilator until his double pneumonia subsides.
Jake The Snake Roberts has been in the minds of wrestling fans the world over after news broke that he was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital. As previously discussed, Jake was flying to Las Vegas, Nevada on Wednesday, August 24th. The recent Hall of Fame inductee was set to compete at Sinn Bodhis Freakshow Wrestling event in the infamous Sin City. Unfortunately, Roberts began to experience difficulty breathing and tightening in his chest. An ambulance, which was waiting for the legendary wrestler when the plane landed, rushed Jake to a nearby hospital. Since then, Jake has been transferred to another facility, following his double pneumonia diagnosis. Initially, there were reports of a mass being found on the superstars brain as well, but no further information about that has come in since. Instead, it was reported that Jake had stabilized in the days following his initial intake and that he was talkative, if a bit grumpy. Sinn Bodhi -- formerly known as Kizarny in the WWE -- who has been by Jakes side, has further updated the ongoing situation. He states that doctors wish to run further tests on The Snake, including an MRI, but cannot do so until the pneumonia clears up. Bodhi further added that Jake is not getting enough oxygen, so he has been sedated and put on a ventilator. Jakes lack of oxygen intake is likely due to the double pneumonia and fluid in his lungs. As such, it was decided to place him on a ventilator. Furthermore, Roberts was sedated because the procedure is painful, according to Bodhi. Once Jakes pneumonia clears up and he no longer needs the ventilator, doctors will be able to continue running tests, in order to find the underlying cause of these health issues. As always, fans and colleagues continue to pull for Jake Roberts and lend their support. What Culture will continue to provide updates on Jakes health as more details become available.
