Lethal made a shock appearance at last night's AEW Full Gear PPV, being brought out to the stage by Tony Schiavone. There, Lethal revealed that he's officially signed with AEW, and he then threw out the challenge to Sammy Guevara.

With the Spanish God having just competed in a brutal Minneapolis Street Fight - The Inner Circle beating American Top Team - he was quick to accept Lethal's challenge, with Guevara to defend his AEW TNT Title against the one-time Black Machismo on this coming Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite.

AEW President Tony Khan has previously made mention about how there are certain Ring of Honor talents he has his eye on, and Jay Lethal was clearly a priority for Khan once it was revealed how ROH wrestlers were to be allowed out of their contract.

For those who missed it, ROH recently announced how it would not be renewing its roster's contracts at the end of the year, with the promotion to go on hiatus for the first quarter of 2022. As such, ROH talent are free to seek opportunities elsewhere - with it now a question of which other ROH names could join Lethal in AEW across the next few weeks and months.
