'Latino Heat' indeed...

JBL was the most recent guest on Corey Graves' 'After The Bell' podcast, and he had quite the tale to tell about a backstage altercation he witnessed involving fallen great Eddie Guerrero.

According to Layfield, it was Chavo Guerrero Sr who came up with the idea to have he and Eddie's mother feign a heart attack on a 2004 house show (footage would air on SmackDown). That, they figured, would give JBL the necessary heat to make him WWE's top heel and make the feud with Eddie special.

'Latino Heat' got hot when Chavo was describing how it should play out.

Chavo Sr kept "needling" his brother by suggesting that JBL smash their mother with a clothesline towards the end of the segment. That was all Eddie needed to hear - he got up out of his seat and challenged his sibling to a fight in the locker room.

JBL didn't know what to do. Should he interject and try to calm things down, or let the brothers scrap? At the same time, he realised that the heat would be monumental; if Eddie was this angry about it, then imagine what wrestling fans would think.
