West Coast viewers missed The Great Urine-Drenching Of 2020.

An opinion-splitting segment played out on last week's episode of WWE SmackDown, as Jeff Hardy and Sheamus' pre-Backlash contract signing began with 'The Celtic Warrior' insisting 'The Charismatic Enigma' take a urine test before inking their pay-per-view match, then closing on Hardy throwing his piss (or: apple juice) in his rival's face.

Reports prior to SmackDown suggested this would be the most controversial contract signing in WWE history. Whether it hit that mark is up for debate, though it was certainly divisive.

An interesting facet of this is that part of the segment didn't air on SmackDown's West Coast feed. Responding to journalist David Bixenpsan, Twitter User Eric Romero captured the cut:-

There's currently no word on whether WWE or USA Network made the call to trim it out west, though it should be noted that the promotion hasn't been shy of plastering piss-soaked call-backs across other platforms, including full-on highlights of the segment.

Sheamus ended up defeating Hardy at Backlash, pinning him after two successive Brogue Kicks. Corey Graves put this over as Hardy "letting everyone down," stating that "he should be ashamed of himself," suggesting Jeff's redemptive arc is set to continue.
