Jeff Jarrett Says WWE & The Hardy Boyz Still Don't Own The 'Broken' Gimmick

Don't get too excited about those comments on Raw yet...

According to Jeff Jarrett during a recent media conference call, it's still up in the air whether or not Matt and Jeff Hardy will soon own the rights to their 'Broken' gimmick.

When asked by WrestleZone about whether or not The Hardyz had obtained the rights to the idea from Anthem Sports And Entertainment (now running TNA as GFW), the Global Force Wrestling founder claimed things hadn't yet been settled. These claims add an interesting spin to the promo Matt and Jeff cut this past Monday on Raw.

Jeff used his old TNA catchphrase, wondering if the brothers should just "fade away and classify ourselves as obsolete", before Matt then cheekily remarked that he and Jeff were "stitched up, bruised and somewhat broken" during a confrontation with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

An ongoing legal battle between The Hardyz and Anthem looks set to continue with GFW, this despite Matt tweeting out that he and Jeff were mere "days away" from securing the rights.

For now, WWE can continue dropping all the fan-pleasing hints they want in promos, but Matt and Jeff cannot use the 'Broken' characters fully until the legal issues have been resolved.
