Former Insane Championship Wrestling and Defiant Wrestling star Joe Hendry, a standout on the British independent scene for years, has signed with Ring Of Honor.

'The Prestigious One' broke the news on his own Twitter account last night:-

Hendry was one of the biggest names left standing in the United Kingdom. WWE's NXT UK branch has hoovered up much of the isles' talent over the past couple of years, but the Scot held out, and has now secured a tasty deal with the Sinclair Broadcasting-owned promotion.

Best known for his work in ICW, Joe debuted with the company in 2013. His run took him all the way to July 2019, when he lost a Losers Leaves Town match to former protégé Leyton Buzzard, having risen to prominence on the back of his charismatic, personality-packed performances.

Hendry was also a day one guy in WCPW, competing for the promotion long before it became Defiant, appearing on almost every single show and participating in a number of major angles before the company's 2019 closure.

On top of this, the 31-year-old has already competed for ROH on various UK tours over the past couple of years. All the best to him on this full-time voyage.
