John Cena And Roman Reigns Engaged In Twitter War

Could they be building to a match down the line?

Kevin Owens is a funny guy - maybe too funny. At Wednesday evening's Raw brand house show in Brooklyn, Owens wrapped Roman Reigns in a chinlock for nearly five minutes, and spent the majority of the hold shouting insults to fans. At one point, Owens started bragging about how much money he makes, causing Reigns to start laughing hysterically in the hold.

A fan called Reigns out for his break on Twitter, but not being one to damage kayfabe any further, the three-time WWE World Champion played it off in character:

That didn't sit particularly well with John Cena. Despite being a Smackdown superstar and having no outstanding issues with Reigns or Owens, "The Face that Runs the Place" posted his own Twitter missive, geared toward "The Guy":

That got on Reigns's bad side, with the United States Champion pointing out that Cena was getting his workout in at "The Big Dog's" alma mater:

This isn't the first time Reigns and Cena have taken subtle shots at each other, with Cena telling AJ Styles back in June that if Styles couldn't beat Reigns, he sure couldn't beat him. Though the two men are not expected to face each other at WrestleMania 33, an interpromotional match between the two faces of the company seems inevitable at some point.
