John Cena Expected To Headline WWE Hall Of Fame 2026 (WWE News)
WWE will honour John Cena yet again over WrestleMania 42 weekend next April.
The Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez has claimed that none other than John Cena will headline WWE's class of 2026 come next year's Hall Of Fame. That'll be held over WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas, and it'll be a grand affair if 'Super Cena' gets inducted after all - Alvarez says it's "very likely" that John will headline the class.
Cena worked his final episode of WWE flagship show Raw on Monday night inside the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden. There, he announced that he'd be defending his newly won Intercontinental Title against deposed champ Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series on 29 November. Then, John teamed with Rey Mysterio and Sheamus to beat Judgment Day trio Dominik, Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh.
Most fans would've expected Hall Of Fame treatment once Cena hangs up his jorts for good following his retirement match at the 13 December edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. A tournament is currently ongoing across Raw and SmackDown to find out exactly who will stand across the ring from JC next month.
The likes of Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler have returned to WWE screens as part of the tourney, but both were unsuccessful against LA Knight and Solo Sikoa respectively.
Cena obviously won't be wrestling come 'Mania in April, but he should be part of the festivities anyway. Of course, plans change in pro wrestling all the time, but it's believed that John will definitively call it a career after all in mid-December. That means he'd be in a strictly non-wrestling role come WWE's biggest weekender of the new year.
Few deserve HOF treatment more than John Cena.
