John Cena Vs Alberto Del Rio Announced For WWE SmackDown This Week
Cena makes his return to SmackDown following his absence last week.
Following a one week absence from WWE SmackDown Live, John Cena will be back on the show this Tuesday night. Further, WWE has already announced Cena will be competing on the show against Alberto Del Rio.
Cena was absent from the show last week due to WWE's tour of Austrlia and New Zealand, which began on Wednesday. Many of SmackDown's top stars were given Tuesday off so they could get ready for the long trip to the land down under. Outside of Cena, AJ Styles, The Usos, Erick Rowan, and Apollo Crews were among those missing SmackDown last week.
The Cena versus Del Rio match is interesting due to the fact that it was Del Rio who ended Cena's U.S. championship run in his first match back in the company last Fall. Very little was done to follow up on that story when Cena returned in the Spring an Del Rio's stock has fallen considerably in the company since last Fall.
Also announced for the show on Tuesday is a MizTV segment featuring Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose as they prepare for their WWE Championship match at SummerSlam next Sunday.
