Following this week’s WWE Raw, it looks as if John Morrison is set for a spell on the sidelines.

As per the Wrestling Observer, the three-time Intercontinental Champion suffered a knee injury during his match with Riddle this past Monday night. The injury seemed to occur when JoMo went to hit a twisting dive to the new United States Champion, with Morrison catching his leg on the ropes and subsequently landing on his knee.

A referee actually checked on Morrison immediately after this gnarly-looking landing, but the match continued on until Riddle hit the Bro Derek for the victory. Later in the show, Morrison was noticeably moving gingerly when he came out alongside WWE Champion The Miz.

There’s no word right now on just how severe this knee injury is or whether John Morrison will have to miss significant – if any – ring time, although next week’s Raw could offer an indicator on how serious this knee issue is.

If rumour and innuendo is to be believed, the current plan is for Miz and Morrison to face Bad Bunny and Damian Priest at WrestleMania 37.
