Johnny Gargano & Bayley To Collide On NXT?
Bayley and Gargano got at it on Twitter earlier this week.
Johnny Gargano and Bayley got into it on Twitter last night, culminating with the former NXT Champion challenging the SmackDown Women's Title-holder to get into it with him on Wednesday nights.
The exchange came from Gargano trumpeting his recent success in NXT's year-end awards; specifically, his third Match of the Year nod in four years. Bizarrely, Bayley had this to say in response:-
Gargano then pointed out that he wasn't even under WWE contract when Sasha Banks and Bayley scored their honours, leading to him challenging the former 'Hugger' to show up in NXT:-
It's an odd exchange, and it feels like we're now only a stage or two away from wrestlers feuding over star ratings, but Bayley's final response ("You're done for.") suggests that something might actually come of this. If they aren't just working each other, of course.
As two of the most important babyfaces in NXT history, it'd be cool to see Bayley and Gargano going head-to-head on the microphone at least. WWE don't do intergender wrestling, so a match is almost certainly off the table, despite Nia Jax's involvement in last year's Royal Rumble and the Dean Ambrose teases that followed.
