Jon Moxley Becomes AEW World Champion At Revolution

The "half-concussed" Purveyor of Violence ended Chris Jericho's reign last night.

Jon Moxley is your new AEW World Champion, defeating Chris Jericho in the main event of last night's Revolution pay-per-view.

A heated, brawl-heavy headliner saw Inner Circle members Ortiz, Santana, and Jake Hager banished from ringside by Aubrey Edwards plus boatloads of gritty, grimy scrapping, with Jericho constantly targetting Moxley's injured eye. It was a ruse, though. Mox had been playing with 'The Painmaker.' His eye had healed, he yanked the patch off himself, and he nailed the Canadian with a second Paradigm Shift to take the win and the title after roughly 24 minutes.

'Le Champion' must now go looking for a new nickname. His reign ended after 182 days and saw successful defences over Darby Allin, Cody, and Scorpio Sky.

Moxley spoke to the press at the post-fight media scrum, claiming he was seeing triple out of one of his eyes for a while. "Jericho threw my head into the ring post on the floor and I basically headbutted a steel post as hard as it could be headbutted," he said, adding that he was "half-concussed," and still felt a little woozy after the event.

Congratulations to him either way, and here's to a long, prosperous reign.
