As predicted by many, Jon Moxley will face Hiroshi Tanahashi at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door to crown the interim AEW World Champion.

With the PPV still taking place as of this writing, Tana defeated Hirooki Goto at NJPW Dominion.

Tanahashi picked up the win in 12 minutes, putting Goto away after hitting the Aces High and then the High Fly Flow. Of course, this bout was to establish who would face Moxley at Forbidden Door - and that means we'll now be getting a Tanahashi vs. Moxley bout that's been long in the making.

Despite a Tana and Mox match having been teased for the longest time, the only time the pair have ever locked horns was during a four-way contest for the IWGP United States Title at NJPW Capital Collision last month. There, Juice Robinson emerged victorious to take Tanahashi's US Title in a match featuring Moxley and Will Ospreay.

Emanating from Chicago's United Center, AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door will take place on 26 June.

As of right now, the only confirmed match for Forbidden Door is Moxley vs. Tanahashi, with PAC also set to face three other competitors in a four-way offering to crown the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion.

Be sure to check back later today for full results from the ongoing NJPW Dominion - with Jay White set to challenge for Kazuchika Okada's IWGP Heavyweight Title in the main event.
