Yes, this is a real thing.

If anyone reading this ever becomes a WWE employee, do not question Vince McMahon's farting abilities.

In his first book (the excellent, 'Slobberknocker: My Life In Wrestling'), Jim Ross revealed that he accidentally raised the ire of the boss by dissing his farts. The fateful, smelly day happened not long after JR had rejoined the WWF in 1994.

One afternoon inside McMahon's car, the single most powerful man in pro wrestling let out the single most potent toot in human history. Ross decided to no-sell it, and then angered Vince by saying that Robert Gibson of The Rock N' Roll Express could do better.

Furious that anyone would challenge his gas-making skills, McMahon rolled up the windows on his flashy motor and let another one go. He took Jim's statement as a challenge, and JR would live to regret it. In his own words, Ross said, "He hated to be beaten at anything, even farting".

For the next few hours, Vince tried to top each anal blast and gauge JR's reaction. Meanwhile, the announcer must've wondered what the hell he'd done to deserve such protein-rich, whiffy treatment.

Robert Gibson? No chance in hell, pal.
