Kalisto Vs Ryback At WWE WrestleMania 32?

WWE U.S. Title match set for the grandest stage?

WWE officials are currently discussing the idea of U.S. Champion Kalisto defending his belt against Ryback at WrestleMania 32. It was at one time assumed that Kalisto would continue his feud with Alberto Del Rio into WrestleMania, but it appears those plans are being scrapped, according to a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live. The potential bout with Ryback is being explored with Kalisto scheduled to wrestle Del Rio and Ryback in triple threat matches at WWE live events in the coming weeks. Ryback has also been teasing a heel turn of late, so it would appear one of the motivations for that turn would be the potential Kalisto match. Kalisto is currently being marketed as a new star directed toward the Latino community and children, and he has been wildly popular with this crowd so far. The ultimate goal is for him to fill a giant void left by Rey Mysterio in this demographic, so there's no chance of a Kalisto heel turn. Another possible opponent for Kalisto could be League of Nations member Wade Barrett. Kalisto was scheduled to wrestle Del Rio at a WWE live event on Saturday evening in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but the match was changed, with no explanation, to Kalisto/Barrett (Del Rio didn't appear on the show). Perhaps WWE was testing the waters for a potential program between the two down the line.
