Karl Anderson was/is trending on Twitter for shooting down WWE's recent message to talent offering mental health support.

The Impact Wrestling (and occasional AEW) star tweeted a reply to Sean Ross Sapp's report saying, "They suck bro". This, of course, came in the wake of tragic news that Shannon 'Daffney' Spruill had passed away. A lot of fans replying to his post thought the timing of Anderson's comments were regrettable.

He doubled down.

Karl jawed back-and-forth with numerous fans over the next few hours. Neither side backed down, and that led to some ugly exchanges about Anderson's personal life, his departure from WWE and more.

Later, the wrestler also posted numbers for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline (1-800-273-8255) and said he loved everyone. Not even that swayed those who were outraged by his earlier bashing - one fan even threatened to report Anderson to Impact/Anthem's board of directors.

It all got out of hand, and quickly.

Things seem to have calmed a little now, but it's clear that Anderson thinks WWE's mental health olive branch is a hollow one. Stay tuned for more on this when it breaks.
