Think it was negative backstage after Karrion Kross debuted on WWE Raw last year? Think again.

Wrestling fans were not happy with WWE when Vince McMahon shoved Karrion Kross out on Raw with a new look in July 2021. Those same folks angrily ranted about company booking when Kross then lost to Jeff Hardy in less than two minutes.

Get this: Kross claims the rest of the locker room applauded him for doing the honours without complaint that night. Karrion told the 'Cheap Heat' podcast that some behind the scenes actually viewed it as a positive that he was able to do as he'd been told without making a big scene about it at Gorilla.

Basically, many were impressed that Kross didn't spit the dummy after being a main man on NXT.

Kross hated the new look McMahon had in mind for him, and was even discouraged when fans around ringside laughed at him, but he knew he had a "job" to do. He wasn't about to disrespect Hardy either, and that went a long way with those who liked his attitude backstage.

Karrion was released a few months later, but he's since bounced back to become a major player on SmackDown after being rehired by Triple H.
