Karrion Kross Suffers Shoulder Injury In NXT Title Win

New champ will undergo MRI on Monday.

Karrion Kross claimed the NXT Championship from Keith Lee in the main event of Saturday's NXT TakeOver XXX - but it came at a cost.

According to Triple H, speaking during the post-show's conference call, Kross separated his shoulder during the contest. The NXT medical team tended him at ringside, declaring it was safe for him conclude the match.

WWE have since posted an update on Kross' injury, confirming that the new yellow and black champ will undergo an MRI on Monday:

Despite the injury, a determined Kross took down the champion, showing incredible toughness by lifting Lee up for a devastating Doomsday Saito off the middle rope to claim the NXT Championship.Kross will have an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of the injury.
