Keith Lee OUT Of WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View

Kickoff clash to determine his last-minute replacement.

Keith Lee has been removed from the United States Championship Triple Threat match against Champion Bobby Lashley and fellow Challenger Riddle.

The news had been expected all week, with WWE confirming as such just hours before the show, blaming the Monday Night Raw attack by Bobby Lashley two weeks ago for the absence.

To fill the slot left empty by the 'Limitless' former NXT Champion, WWE announced that a fatal four-way would take place on the pay-per-view Kickoff Show featuring John Morrison, Ricochet, Mustafa Ali and Elias. The company furthered promotion of this during the pre-show itself, but ended up leaning on comedy when Billie Kay handed her resumé to MVP to become a new member of the Hurt Business.

The match is the second this week to undergo significant change after Lacey Evans revealed a real life pregnancy on Raw. A planned Raw Women's Championship match with Asuka was chalked off as a result, though WWE elected not to announce a replacement match for the 'Empress Of Tomorrow'. The Kickoff Panel posited possible opponents without naming names, presumably ahead of a mystery opponent stealing a shot later in the show.
