Kenny Omega has been hospitalised for diverticulitis.

'The Cleaner' posted a photo from his hospital bed yesterday on X/Twitter, with the former AEW World Champion explaining that he was "out indefinitely" due to the problem.

And as Kenny would note, the performer did his best to fight through the pain. But as reported by Sean Ross Sapp revealed on X/Twitter shortly after, the Elite member had been ill over the last week and was said to be suffering heading into his recent match with Ethan Page on Collision.

Then, after asking for medial advice after that contest and his divisive promo alongside Chris Jericho with Ricky Starks & Big Bill on Dynamite earlier this week, he was diagnosed with diverticulitis.

What this news means for the Golden Jets' incoming AEW World Tag Team Championship match at Worlds End on December 30 isn't entirely clear at this time. And it also isn't known precisely how long Kenny will be out of action for.

After finally making his return from numerous injuries in August 2022, though, it's safe to say fans around the world are just hoping Kenny makes a swift and full recovery from his latest setback, and is back doing what he does best in the not too distant future.
