Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks "Haven't Heard Anything" From AEW
The Elite remain in AEW limbo following the events of All Out 2022.
Suspended AEW stars Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks remain in career limbo.
Dave Meltzer writes in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that as of a few days ago, the trio hadn't heard anything from the promotion. This follows the events of All Out 2022, where The Elite were involved in a backstage brawl with CM Punk and Ace Steel following the former's incendiary press scrum comments, leading to the suspension.
Meltzer reports that AEW remains tight-lipped on the matter. It is believed that the company's final decision on what happens is on hold pending legal action, which could hold things up unless it gets cleared.
Significantly, there is also a "second hold up" that hasn't come to light yet.
The Bucks and Omega were amongst a group of personnel suspended indefinitely for their involvement in the brawl. Michael Nakazawa, Brandon Cutler, Pat Buck, and Christopher Daniels have since had their suspensions lifted when an investigation into the fight determined that they had tried to split it up.
Punk and Steel are also sidelined. While AEW is yet to make anything official, current reporting points towards Punk leaving the promotion.
