Kenny Omega Vs. Mercedes Moné At AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2?

Omega and Moné to lock horns at the next Forbidden Door show?

In a move that would leave half of the internet ecstatic and the other half angrily cursing at the sky, could we possibly get Kenny Omega and Mercedes Moné doing battle at AEW x NJPW Forbidden 2?

Garnering plenty of attention, Kenny and Mercedes exchanged words on Twitter, with the Elite man noting how he's "sure" their paths will meet again and teasing a mixed tag match.

With AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 currently listed on Spectrum as taking place on Saturday 24 June, and with Moné nowadays working for STARDOM and New Japan, not to mention a rumoured STARDOM presence at the next Forbidden Door, everything is currently in place for Omega and Moné to cross paths in the ring if that is indeed a direction all parties wish to go in.

With last weekend's NJPW Battle in the Valley closing with a shot of IWGP Women's Champion Mercedes standing side-by-side with IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, many are already speculating that Forbidden Door 2 could see Moné and Okada going up against Kenny Omega and a female partner.

Of course, Omega and Okada have plentiful history, with the two having gone to war countless times over the years, delivering a ludicrous amount of classics in the process.

It's worth noting that neither AEW nor New Japan Pro-Wrestling have yet to officially comment on a date for Forbidden Door 2, but should that PPV indeed take place this June, right now it appears that there are zero stumbling blocks to Kenny Omega and Mercedes Moné locking horns between the ropes.
