Kenny Omega Wins AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

Omega vs. Moxley II is on the horizon...

Kenny Omega won AEW's World Title Eliminator Tournament at Full Gear 2020, besting former tag team partner 'Hangman' Adam Page in the night's opening bout.

Page and Omega eschewed the long, epic format many assumed they may go for, opting for a more blistering encounter instead. Not a minute was spared as they cut right to fight mode, knocking several shades of hell out of each other before 'The Best Bout Machine' was finally able to hit the One Winged Angel for the win.

The concise runtime and quickfire pace gave the impression that the duo have a longer, more dramatic bout in them later down the road. For now, however, Omega is the number one contender, and Page must think again.

Omega emerged for a face-off with World Champion Jon Moxley following his successful defence over Eddie Kingston in the night's main event. There's no word on when their fight will go down, though Moxley triumphed over Omega at last year's Full Gear, brutalising him in a wild Lights Out match.
