Kevin Owens Re-Signs With WWE (WWE News)
The Prize Fighter will be part of the WWE family for the foreseeable future.
Kevin Owens has been on a tear in recent months with WWE as a top heel, and it looks like he will continue to terrorize Cody Rhodes and other top babyfaces for the next several years.
Fightful Select reports that Owens has officially re-signed with WWE, ending any lingering speculation that he could test the free agent market. KO posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday about his daughter selling Girl Scout cookies, pledging to wrestle another four-plus years if people purchased cookies from her:
If you guys help support my daughter’s Girl Scout troop by buying some cookies, I promise to keep wrestling for at least 4 years, 11 months and 22 days more.https://t.co/AQu2S8e2Xi@BonJovi— Kevin (@FightOwensFight) February 7, 2025
The obvious implication here, which Fightful has confirmed, is that Owens has signed a five-year contract with WWE. Sources close to the situation said the deal began on the day of the Royal Rumble, where KO lost a ladder match to Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Owens' old deal reportedly was set to expire at the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025.
A former Universal Champion, Owens has been an integral part of WWE, main-eventing two of the last three WrestleManias on the first night. He lost to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38, and he teamed with Sami Zayn to defeat the Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39.
More recently, KO had been embroiled in a bitter feud with Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Championship. On Raw this week, he attacked former best friend Sami Zayn, setting the stage for the two to renew hostilities at WrestleMania 41.
