In a follow-up to today’s earlier news that Konnan has been hospitalised, it’s now been confirmed that the wrestling legend has tested positive for COVID-19.

For those who missed the original story, the Wrestling Observer reported that Konnan – who had a kidney transplant back in 2007 – had been hospitalised due to a kidney issue.

Now, Lucha Libre Online is reporting that AAA announcer Hugo Savinovich has revealed that a positive COVID-19 test result is why the former CMLL World Heavyweight Champion is currently in hospital.

As per Google Translate, the below Twitter post details how Konnan was admitted to hospital after realising that his life was in danger.

Thankfully, the one-time WCW United States Champion is said to be out of danger now, with the hope being that he will be allowed to leave hospital today or tomorrow and continue his recovery from home.
