DDT's Konosuke Takeshita is returning to Japan, but it won't be long before he's back in AEW.

The last match of Konosuke Takeshita's All Elite Wrestling excursion aired on last night's episode of Dark: Elevation, though it doesn't sound like fans will be waiting long before the DDT star is back in the fold.

Takeshita wrestled The Wingmen's Cezar Bononi in a match taped on 10 August. It was a bout typical of AEW's YouTube shows, with Takeshita overcoming his lower-ranked opponent after enduring a few flurries of offense, including a Tiger Driver from the Brazilian. Soon after, Takeshita put Bononi away with his running knee strike.

Announcer Excalibur put Takeshita over for capping his summer in AEW with a win over Bononi. He then confirmed that the 27-year-old will return to the promotion this fall, seemingly continuing his excursion.

Takeshita is currently booked for a number of DDT shows throughout August on September. Although his time in the United States is over for now, he recently commented that he wants to book more AEW matches in the future.

This weekend's Wrestle Peter Pan 2022 event will host Takeshita's DDT. He had been in the US since April, keeping a busy schedule in AEW and on the independent circuit.
