KUSHIDA will take on Velveteen Dream at next weekend's NXT TakeOver 31, WWE have announced.

The company made the match official via their official website, bringing the total number of bouts on the card so far to four.

KUSHIDA's increasing enmity towards 'His Purple Highness' was stoked on this past week's episode of NXT, when Dream interfered to cost The Time Splitter a chance at the NXT Championship via the gauntlet eliminator.

This is the culmination of a month of bitter back and forth, which began after Dream's losing return in a triple threat featuring next Sunday's opponent and Cameron Grimes this past August. After the defeat, Dream took out his frustrations on KUSHIDA.

Turnabout proved fair play: a few weeks hence, KUSHIDA added Dream's name to the injury list with a nasty rope-assisted cross armbreaker.

Both men will be looking to settle the beef in their favour at TakeOver. The updated card for the Network special is as follows:

- Finn Bálor (c) vs. Kyle O'Reilly for the NXT Championship

- Io Shirai (c) vs. Candice LeRae for the NXT Women's Championship

- Damian Priest (c) vs. Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Championship
