Lance Storm has confirmed he's signed with IMPACT Wrestling as a producer and coach.

The news was initially revealed during an IMPACT press release for their 6 March Gut Check tryout at the Arnold Classic, with Storm stated to be running the day alongside John E. Bravo. Speaking on Figure 4 Daily shortly thereafter, the former European Champion confirmed his current contract status with the Anthem-helmed promotion (h/t Fightful):-

"Producer, coach, whatever you want to call it."

Storm previously worked for IMPACT as a producer in early 2019, working a couple of tapings and also refereeing the World Championship bout at that year's Rebellion pay-per-view between Johnny IMPACT and Brian Cage. He ultimately signed with WWE in November 2019, having closed his own school, but would be furloughed in April 2020.

The Gut Check Challenge had previously been used by IMPACT throughout 2012 and early 2013. The likes of Brian Cage, Ivelisse, and Adam Pearce were all involved, with just seven out of a possible twelve earning an IMPACT contract, the most notable being Sam Shaw; the current Dexter Lumis.

That will be the case this time, too, as the winner of the Gut Check tryout will be awarded a developmental deal with IMPACT.
