Latest On Bryan Danielson's In-Ring Status (AEW News)

An update on Bryan Danielson's wrestling future following his tribute to Ben 'PAC' Satterley.

AEW has no ongoing creative plans for Bryan Danielson onscreen following his touching and heartfelt tribute performance in honour of Ben 'PAC' Satterley on last week's episode of Dynamite. There, Danielson returned to the ring to team with Death Riders members Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Gabe Kidd and Daniel Garcia vs. Josh Alexander, Jake Doyle, Lance Archer, Wardlow and Mark Davis.

That, it seems, was a one off.

Fightful Select is reporting that AEW boss Tony Khan (and Bryan himself) have nothing in mind for Danielson going forwards. On the PAC tribute edition of Dynamite, Bryan also seemed to squash storyline beef with ex-stablemate Jon Moxley.

Moxley had beaten Danielson for the AEW World Title way back at WrestleDream 2024 in October of that year. Since then, Bryan has only wrestled a quick match vs. Max Caster in June 2025 before hauling on his boots and trunks to honour a fallen friend last week. That's something the entire pro wrestling community appreciated given the sadness surrounding Satterley's passing.

Danielson has worked behind the scenes for All Elite since appearing to call it a career, and he's also appeared as a commentator on programming as well. It remains to be seen what's next for him, but it doesn't look at all likely he'll be on television weekly in the cut and thrust of ongoing storylines.

Being realistic, few probably expected that. Most tuning into Dynamite were heartened to see Bryan hit the ring for a surprise match, but they understood that it was done out of respect to PAC more than anything else.
