Both Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler returned to TV on Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown, but their one-time Forgotten Sons leader Jaxson Ryker wasn't with them.

Fightful Select are reporting that there's still significant heat on Ryker for social media comments he made earlier this year. That, according to Fightful's sources, hasn't dripped down onto either Blake or Cutler - in fact, WWE officials "felt bad" about the fact they'd been caught up in the situation.

That same source told the site that Ryker "wasn’t worth the risk of bad publicity" being on TV might bring right now. So, WWE made the call to bring his old associates back and align them with 'King' Corbin on the latest SmackDown.

Both men appeared clean shaven and helped Corbin in his ongoing feud with Murphy and the Mysterio family. Ryker's name wasn't mentioned on commentary at all during the segment, which suggests that Blake and Cutler have severed all ties with their old Forgotten Sons biker gimmick.

It's hardly ideal that their momentum was halted by Twitter silliness, but it is cool to see the pair back on screen.
