Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows returned to WWE on this week's episode of Raw despite having New Japan Pro-Wrestling commitments left on their schedule, raising big questions about relations between the two promotions.

Anderson, the reigning NEVER Openweight Champion, has since been confirmed for an NJPW show on 5 November. Fightful Select had previously been informed that the duo were committed to New Japan through Wrestle Kingdom on 4 January 2023. This came in the wake of news of their IMPACT Wrestling contracts expiring, making them free agents.

Now, in a new update, Fightful state that Anderson has informed the outlet that he still plans on working Wrestle Kingdom. Additionally, he and Gallows were informed by WWE that NJPW had been clued in on their comeback prior to it happening.

Gallows and Anderson aligned with former Bullet Club stablemate AJ Styles on Raw, taking his side against The Judgment Day. This was their first appearance for the market-leading promotion since being released near the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020.

Fightful had previously noted a belief that the Good Brothers had been working for NJPW without contracts this year.
