Latest Update On WWE's Plans For Hall Of Fame 2023
More details emerge on WWE's Hall of Fame 2023 plans for WrestleMania 39 weekend.
This week has already brought news that The Great Muta and Stacy Keibler are likely to be confirmed as the next members of the WWE Hall of Fame's class of 2023. They'll join Rey Mysterio, the first confirmed inductee, and likely Batista, who is the rumoured headliner.
But despite WWE building its latest Hall of Fame class, this year's will likely end up being trimmed down compared to the bumper groups fans have become accustomed to at the HOF ceremony.
Fightful Select reports that WWE's "working plan" is for a "way smaller" class in 2023.
It's an interesting report as the 2022 class was, by WWE's standards, small. The Undertaker, Vader, Queen Sharmell, The Steiner Brothers, and Warrior Award recipient Shad Gaspard were inducted on the night. Should WWE place Muta, Keibler, Mysterio, and Batista into the Hall of Fame this year, they'll only be one short of 2022.
Celebrity and Legacy inductees typically join the main class, though this wasn't the case in 2022.
The WWE Hall of Fame's class of 2023 will be inducted ahead of WrestleMania 39 on Friday 31 March, after that night's episode of SmackDown.
