WWE diva Layla, who has been out of action since May 13th after requiring surgery for tearing both her Anterior cruciate and Medial collateral ligaments, is expected to be pushed with the Divas Title when she returns next year. The belief internally is that they have exhausted the Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres matches and are desperately in need of some fresh match-ups so are looking at pushing Layla in a big way upon her return. Early in the New Year there are also plans to give Natalya a run with the Divas Title, and perhaps giving her a run against Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres or turning her face to take on her current partner Beth Phoenix. Certainly if I was booking I would make a fatal four-way match between Phoenix vs Kelly vs Torres vs Natalya happen somewhere soon down the road, perhaps at the Royal Rumble and have Natalya win the belt by pinning Kelly or Torres when Phoenix is out of the ring. Phoenix would initially looked pissed but quickly would seem happy that the title was still in the 'Pin-up strong' family but you would slowly see it eating away at her that she is not the champion, eventually leading to her turning on Natalya and solidifying the Canadian as a babyface. This would build to a Beth Phoenix and Natalya match for the WWE Divas Title at Wrestlemania 28 between the only two women workers who can wrestle right now and would actually be an interesting storyline for the match. In other Divas news, Alicia Fox's sister Caylee Turner of FCW and Tough Enough fame has had tryouts as a ring announcer in WWE developmental.
