Long-Absent AEW Star Returning Soon?

Could this multi-time champion soon be back on AEW TV?

Having been absent from AEW for approaching five months now, a Sammy Guevara return to TV could be in the cards.

As per Fightful Select, Guevara's return to AEW programming has been discussed in recent weeks. While he was initially suspended back in February, the Spanish God has not been suspended for the past couple of months.

That suspension was due to a "protocol issue" in a Rampage match Guevara had against Jeff Hardy, with that being the match where a Shooting Star Press from Sammy broke the nose of Hardy and left him with a concussion. As it happens, that would be Jeff's last AEW bout, as the Charismatic Enigma never wrestled for the company again before his AEW contract expired last month.

For Sammy Guevara, he wrestled once more - against Powerhouse Hobbs on the 24 February AEW Collision - before his suspension commenced. Since then, the three-time TNT Champion hasn't been seen on AEW TV at all.

Of course, Sammy is an AEW Original, making his debut for the promotion at the inaugural Double or Nothing back in 2019, where he lost to Kip Sabian.
