Long-Missing Wrestler Returns On AEW Dynamite

A major AEW return provided one of Dynamite's biggest talking points this week...

Best Friends, Roppongi Vice, and CHAOS member Trent returned on last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, helping his allies fend off Adam Cole, Brandon Cutler, and The Young Bucks of The Elite.

This went down following a tag bout pitting Chuck Taylor and Rocky Romero against the Bucks won, who took the bout following outside intervention. The heels kept the beatdown going after the bell when the Best Friends' theme hit - and an unmistakable car pulled up backstage.

Trent's mother, Sue, let her son out of the back and sent him to the ring. Sporting a freshly-shorn head and being billed by his full ring name (Trent Beretta) once again, he cleared The Elite out, then celebrated with Romero, Taylor, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler YUTA, Kris Statlander, and Sue, hugging in the middle of the ring.

AEW fans hadn't seen Beretta for several months prior to last night. Going under the knife for neck fusion surgery in June, his last bout went down on Dynamite's 21 April episode, which itself came just two weeks after another injury-related comeback.

The Elite and Beretta's extended Best Friends crew have been feuding across the past few weeks, with Cole vs. Cassidy given singles focus last week.
