Following this week’s episode of AEW Dark, Jack Evans is said to have major backstage heat with AEW officials.

As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Evans got himself into hot water following what turned out to be an awful match against Preston ‘10’ Vance in the main event of the show.

That contest saw Evans catch 10 full in the face when hitting a Phoenix Splash. So much so, you could see the blood pouring out of Vance’s mask immediately after the move landed. Shortly after this manoeuvre, the two quickly went to the finish of the match – and 10 was left needing work done as a result of this botch.

After the bout, Brodie Lee Jr. went into the ring and fist-bumped with 10. This was planned ahead of time, but the main reason why Dark was briefly pulled from YouTube was so that AEW could edit out the jarring visual of a young child bumping fists with someone covered in blood.

Where Jack Evans is concerned, his heat is said to be with “the people you don’t want heat with” – suggesting that it’s some of the true big-name players in All Elite Wrestling who were pissed about Evans’ slack Phoenix Splash and the fallout of it.
