Major Development In Rey/Dominik Mysterio Feud On WWE Raw

Will the Mysterios collide at WrestleMania 39? One step of the equation was achieved.

Rey Mysterio still refuses to hit his son Dominik, but that hasn't stopped the younger Mysterio from issuing a bold challenge to his "deadbeat dad."

During a surprisingly excellent promo, ex-con Dom told Rey that he would let him enjoy his moment being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but he challenged him to a match at WrestleMania 39. Naturally, Rey refused, saying he would never fight his son before walking off.

Dominik delivered easily his best promo since debuting, lamenting how Rey was an absent father who put "strangers" (aka, the fans) over his own family, and how he ditched Dom as he was growing up. The younger Mysterio though made sure to come off as an entitled jackass, saying he asked for a new car for his 16th birthday and was saddled with a BMW instead of the Mercedes-Benz all his friends were driving.

A father-son collision is inevitable between these two, but the questions of how and when Rey is going to snap and finally accept Dominik's challenge is still lingering. Considering that both Mysterios have appeared on Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks, you have to figure WWE has four more chances to close that loop before the go-home SmackDown and Hall of Fame ceremony the night before Mania.
